Here Comes Spring ...

It’s been an exciting start to the year. We have been testing out our website with some friendly testers and with our first subscribers. We’ve made some tweaks and had some awesome feedback:

Mary Anning Drama Activity

“The oracy lesson was me as Mary Anning and the children asking questions in ‘hot seat’ style.

They absolutely loved it. They were so engaged, asked really meaningful scientific questions and immediately wanted to know more about fossils, Mary Anning, the gender inequalities of the time etc. I feel they gained a lot from it and the low stakes of ‘chatting’ was really beneficial. Lots of children, a lot who don’t normally join in with discussions, were asking questions and raising ideas. A huge success in Y2!”

We have also been sharing our website at conferences and on webinars. Check out this edition of The Primary Science Podcast with Tim Holford. It was a delight to record and we showcased some of the activities that are available in our science section.
